The 2nd running of Targa Hellyer Gorge will play a pivotal part in being successful at next year’s massive anniversary Targa Tasmania.
Not only because it will give entrants a fantastic final hit out before the big event and is the only event that can give you real world practice on a genuine Targa Tasmania stage; but with the introduction of brand new stages in the same region as Hellyer Gorge, many will be looking to tie in their recce with the event to ensure they are totally ready to shine at what will be the largest tarmac rally ever held in the world.

TARGA EXPERIENCE MT. BULLER SETS THE BENCHMARK FOR THE FUTURE
The weekend before Targa High Country marked an important innovation for the future of tarmac rallying in Australia with the first ever Targa Experience being held at Mt. Buller. The event provided extensive training for our competitors who all enjoyed the weekend and without exception got plenty out of their attendance.
6th TARGA HIGH COUNTRY A HUGE SUCCESS AGAIN
Targa High Country showed again why it is clearly the 2nd largest tarmac rally event in the country with a field of cars at least three times larger than any other tarmac rally held this year and shows how loved the now well established event has become, with many competitors making their sixth straight appearance this year.
The future is a bright one too with some long term plans to be announced soon that will ensure that the North East region of Victoria continues to be seen as `Targa Country’ on the weekend after the Melbourne Cup each year.
