Untroubled waters for Bridges in TSD Trophy

Jordan and Debbie Bridge have had a fantastic first day of Targa High Country, driving their Subaru WRX STI to a lead of 5 points in the TSD Trophy.

Over the day’s six stages, they were methodical in their approach and finished the day five points clear of Gerard Knapp and Robert Campbell’s Alfa Romeo.

TSD Trophy regulars, Alan and Helen Gluyas are still within striking distance in third place, as is the Ford Falcon Ute of Darryl and Peter Marshall.

Last year’s winners, Gerry Bashford and Bob Watson, have switched from a Ford Escort to a Mazda MX5 this year, and are still in the running in fifth place.

All 15 competitors in the TSD Trophy are still in with a chance of winning as the event enters the second of three days.
Tomorrow is the shortest day, with only 55km of stage distance on the way to Whitfield and back, before the popular Targa Fest in Mansfield on Saturday afternoon.
