Statement by Targa Australia

Targa Australia, the organisers of Targa High Country, are deeply saddened by the loss of competitor Richard Davis, who passed away at Mt Buller this afternoon (November 6) having earlier completed the opening day of the event.
Event Director, Mark Perry, said Richard had a heart attack, then suffered a cardiac arrest and died.

“Richard’s death is a great loss to the Targa community,” Perry said.

“Our heartfelt sympathy goes to Richard’s family and friends at this very difficult and sad time.”
