Vale - Lester Marshall

It is with great sadness we advise the Targa family that 28-year veteran official Joy Marshall lost her husband Lester on Friday 15 November to cancer.

It is with great sadness we advise the Targa family that 28-year veteran official Joy Marshall lost her husband Lester on Friday 15 November to cancer.  Lester’s funeral was held yesterday at the Queenstown RSL in what was a great celebration of his life.

Joy and Lester began as road closure officials in 1992, assisting each year in many roles until finally becoming safety officers for the Queenstown stage until the formation of the Stage Management teams in 2009. Lester then took a back seat, only assisting as a road closure on the Queenstown stage, but many of you may recognise Joy as a Stage Management Team Tracker.

We would like to pass on our sincere condolences to Joy and their family and friends at this difficult time.
