Born from one of motorsport’s most legendary names, Targa Florio brings a new chapter of tarmac rallying to Tasmania. Inspired by the iconic Sicilian road race that has challenged competitors since 1906, Targa Florio combines international heritage with deep Tasmanian roots, building on decades of success established through Targa events centred around Burnie and Tasmania’s North West Coast.

Based in Burnie, the three-day rally will offer both a competition and touring category. The event will feature 16 stages covering more than 220 kilometres of closed public roads, showcasing some of the region’s most spectacular driving routes, including the renowned Savage River and Hellyer Gorge stages.

Powered by Burnie City Council and supported by Events Tasmania, Targa Florio will celebrate Tasmania’s rich rallying heritage while creating a fresh and exciting driving experience for competitors, tour participants and spectators alike.
